Contaminated diesel fuel and hydraulic oil are two of the most common and most preventable causes of premature equipment failure. Every time a tank drains, breathes, or experiences a temperature swing, outside air is pulled into the reservoir, and with it comes moisture, dust, pollen, and particulate that degrade fluid quality, corrode internal components, and plug filters prematurely. Desiccant breathers solve the problem at the source by scrubbing every cubic foot of incoming air before it touches your fluid.

EcoPro desiccant breathers are fully disposable units that replace the standard vent cap on diesel storage tanks, lubricant reservoirs, hydraulic tanks, and gearboxes. Incoming air is filtered through a particulate media, then passed through a column of color-changing silica gel that adsorbs water vapor. When the silica saturates, it visibly changes color, a clear, no-guesswork indicator that the unit should be swapped out. How It Works

As equipment runs, fluid levels rise and fall and temperatures cycle, which forces the tank to "breathe" in and out. Unfiltered ambient air brings in moisture (especially in humid climates and cold mornings) and airborne particulates. The desiccant breather intercepts this air: a pre-filter traps dust and debris, and a high-capacity silica gel column removes water vapor down to very low dew points before clean, dry air enters the tank. Because the silica is color-coded (typically blue → pink or orange → green), a quick visual inspection tells you when to replace.
